Hello! My name is Madeline Senter and I’m from California. For the 2019-20 academic year, I’ll be studying abroad in Cahors, France!
I’m writing this blog to record my adventures in Europe for myself and share them with my family and friends (in addition to any current, rebound, or future exchange students who are interested). This blog’s title, Peregrinate, describes what I want to do for the rest of my life: travel from place to place and see the world. I hope to continue to post about my travels even after I return from France.
For almost two years now, I’ve been gearing up for exchange. I first learned about youth exchange in September 2017 and immediately knew that I could not miss out on the opportunity to immerse myself in a foreign culture, become fluent in a new language, and see the world.

In April 2019, more than a year after I began the application process, I learned that I’ll be living in Cahors, a small, medieval city in the south-west of France.
In a few weeks, I will board a plane in San Francisco to begin a new, exciting chapter of my life. I hope you stick around to explore it with me!
À bientôt !
